The SIA was invited to be a partner in the MRC funded project for Imperial College London's work on upgrading the NNRD to enable it to reflect the needs of resarchers, both academic and commerical, as well as providing feedback to clinicians, patients and families to understand the outcomes for newborns and to ensure they get the best of attention. This builds on Imperial's work on  the NNRD since 2007. The SIA provides a suite of interrogation tools alongside the ICL's ITMAT AI team, Bliss.org and NHS Digital to ensure that this national resource remains state of the art. We are now participating as a partner in the new MRC funded collaboration with Imperial College to engage industry partners to make greater use of the NNRD and to facilitate clinical trials.
