Brief Biographies of Management
Dr. Paul Remington:
Paul trained as a physicist and later as economist and actuary. He has held many senior roles in the City and technology companies. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics & Institute of Actuaries and former Board Member of the East of England Ambulance Service
Peter is the M.D of the SIA and is Vice-President for UK & Ireland at IQVIA UK.
Has enjoyed a long and successful career in data science and data engineering for business, in particular with the pharma industry and in the healthcare industry.
Jamie Drake is an experienced Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the healthcare environment. Recently he has focused in the following key areas- Driver of deficit lead, Head of C&P STP finance team, financial due diligence for provider merger, intelligence led (AI/data) 5-year financial model development (LTFM) for providers and systems, financial and modelling lead for community services tender and re-tender, acting head of PMO (CIP), acting Director of Finance for a joint pathology service (6 Trusts), applications for funding for East Cancer Alliance, development of a national cancer dashboard and financial strategy implementation to improve processes and reporting.
Neil is CEO of Revolutionise, an organisation that works alongside healthcare professionals to identify solutions that boost performance and improve patient care.
Neil has worked in the healthcare sector for over 20 years, as a clinician, Board director and consultant. He has made an invaluable contribution to the NHS and utilised his innovative thinking to build a successful business and enhance the performance of many healthcare teams and organisations.
His approach incorporates team-based support for healthcare professionals, a diagnostic tool and a revolutionary new workforce management system. Together, this helps enhance patient experience, improve quality of care and save money.
His broad experience and understanding of healthcare sector has facilitated the bringing together of health professionals and the Board to improve performance and achieve successful change. He is motivated by the wellbeing of patients and helping healthcare professionals tap into innovative solutions to improve delivery.
After graduating in Economics and qualifying as an accountant Richard worked for a number of technology companies and also as a consultant for Anderson Consulting (Accenture). He then moved into the heath information business and he has spent more than 20 years working in healthcare related organisations including IMS health, where he held a number of senior positions including Country Manager for the UK and Ireland. Richard has introduced a variety of innovative services into the UK and in 2006 he established Message Dynamics which is a leading provider of low cost telehealth services.
J.R. Max Wheel
Max has had over 30 years’ business and finance experience in the US, UK, Spain & Latin America, including at Director level. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Leeds and a diploma in marketing from the US and is fluent in a number of European languages. He specialises in building, developing and leading multinational cross-disciplinary teams delivering innovative cost-effective solutions in a highly competitive environment.
He has been engaged with technology start-ups, from novel sugar feedstock refining, waste to energy, 3-D food processing, and as a Business Mentor for the Prince’s Trust charity. In 2017 he took on the COO role in the SIA, working on delivery of advanced healthcare analytics and predictive insights to the NHS.
Stuart has worked extensively in data engineering handling projects for major pharma companies as well as the NHS. He is an acknowledged expert in the field of advanced business intelligence, data design and engineering
